The reserve is located 180 km east of Taif city, and contains a number of wild animals, the most important of which are the Arabian oryx and the red-necked ostrich.

Around 3 pm, the delegation of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) arrived at the reserve, and they were received by the Travensher team and the reserve staff and officials with great warmth and welcome

They were received and hosted with Saudi coffee and dates. A welcoming speech was also delivered by the management of the reserve and a profile file of the reserve was presented. Travensher also presented souvenirs to the guests from designs inspired by the reserve. Then the guests went on a tour inside the reserve by cars, where they saw the animals and plants in it, including the red-necked ostrich, the Arabian oryx and the sidr tree. The reserve guides explained the characteristics of each animal and plant and its importance in the environmental environment. After finishing the tour, the guests headed to a tent equipped with speakers and board games, where they had dinner and visited the special exhibition of the reserve.
